Wigry National Park is located on the northern edge of the Augustow Forest, the largest compact forest complex on the of the Central European Plains. Wigry National Park differs from other national parks is a great variety of aquatic ecosystems.
Rivers in Wigry National Park captivate picturesqueness and intimate. Its clear water rolling through forests, fields, meadows, vast areas of marsh, create favorable conditions for occurrence of a rich fauna and flora.
In the park there are bicycle paths, hiking and horse riding trails. You can also get around by canoes and winter skiing.
