Pieniny National Park – Pieniński Park Narodowy

In Pieniny mountains, extend between the Tatra Mountains and Beskydy, are hidden a wealth of wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Within the Jurisdiction of the Pieniny highest peaks, Three Crowns, there is half of all known in the country’s plant and animal species. Dunajec River Gorge viewed from the Three Crowns or Sokolica is considered one of the most beautiful places in Poland. There are 35 km routes available for tourists, it’s also include attraction on a European scale, rafting down the Dunajec river.
Pieniny mountain meadows are second to none in Poland in terms of number of plant species. Among the Pieniny animals insects deserve a special attention. There is here a beautiful Apollo butterfly, cave inhabitant of grasslands, and 1,600 other species of butterflies, including the Scarce Swallowtail and Apatura iris. Another tourist attraction is the castle in Czorsztyn.
