Ojcow National Park – Ojcowski Park Narodowy

Location: district of Krakow, Lesser Poland Voivodeship

The area is rich in gorges, ravines, limestone cliffs and caves.
In the Ojcow also are located the ruins of the castle from the fourteenth century. Castle in the Piaskowa Skala – Sand Rock is maintained in good condition, in style referring to the Wawel Castle in Krakow. The number of occurring species here is estimated at 11 thousand, so far about 6 thousand were described. Very characteristic animals and the symbol of the park are bats living in caves – there 17 species of them here.
