Location: Lesser Poland Voivodeship
Park includes a central band of Gorce, Gorca and Turbacz massifs. Particular value for the landscape and wildlife are Gorce montane meadows. Remnants of the old culture are wooden huts representing regional zagorze and podhale housing.
The extensive forest complex along with mosaic of meadows, creates the vegetation Gorce and habitat for many animals such as wolf, lynx, wildcat and brown bear and hoofed mammals.
Stands of trees promote diversity of many species of nesting birds. Among them are so rare as the eagle and capercaillie. Rich vegetation of forests and flowery meadows creates a habitat for invertebrates, especially insects.
Hiking trails of Gorczański park offer hiker widespread views of the surrounding mountain groups – especially the Tatra Mountains.
